school Dance Programs

Our School Dance Programs are flexible, customizable dance education for K–12 students. All programs are taught by professional instructors from local studios. We partner with schools and school districts to create meaningful, accessible dance experiences for their students.

The school provides free space, and a school administrator often serves as the workshop or club sponsor.

The Dance Alliance provides professional dance teachers from local studios and funding (from donors and grants). Students often put on a short recital for parents at the end of the program.

1.) In‑School Dance Workshop: A 5-day workshop with one hour of daily dance instruction during school hours, often as part of P.E.

2.) After‑School Dance Workshop: A 5-day workshop with one hour of daily dance instruction after school.

3.) After‑School Dance Club: In collaboration with schools, we create a dance club for up to 30 students, meeting one to two days a week. We provide a portion of the teacher’s fee and costumes; the school provides a portion of the teacher’s stipend and the club site. A recital is held at the end of the school year.

4.) Summer Dance Camp: We can host a summer camp at schools, offering students hour-long dance classes for one week.
