Deana O’Riley

Deana Orily  is in her 16th year serving a Colorado State Public Defender. She is grateful to be able to supervise brand new Public Defenders while handling complex and capital cases.  She has always had a special interest in veterans and active duty military clients because her father served in Vietnam and passed away from cancer caused by Agent Orange exposure.  In honor of her father. she helped to create Colorado’s first Veteran Trauma Court along with Sheilagh McAteer in 2008. She grew up in the dance and gymnastic world and in 2014, she became a certified yoga instructor.  She has been teaching Barre and Yoga classes ever since. Her love of dance led her to Colorado Springs Dance Theater where she has been serving as a board member for 3 years.  She is honored to be a part of Colorado Springs Dance Theater’s mission to bring access to diverse dance performance to all. To expand access to dance education. And to work in a collaborative way with the dance community throughout the Pikes Peak Region
