Athena Ashmore Baschal, M.Ed, is a native of Los Angeles, where she began her dance training at the age of three and became a member of SAG and AFTRA from age five. She is trained in several dance genres and specializes in teaching ballet and theatre dance. Athena has a diverse background in performing arts, including work in TV, plays, musicals, variety shows, operas, ballets, industrials, and voice-overs. She is a long-time arts education advocate serving on regional non-profit boards. She is a sought-after musical theatre choreographer and dance teacher in Colorado Springs, where she has lived for many years. Athena’s personal passion is encouraging artistic growth and infusing beauty into the world. With many years in the professional realm of performing and teaching, Athena brings much to a DAPPR board position and hopes to help us with grant writing.
