The Esther Geoffrey Scholarship Competition is a unique merit-based competition hosted through a series of Masterclasses taught by globally renowned professionals. The Dance Alliance (formerly Colorado Springs Dance Theatre) has awarded over $50,000 to local dance students in the competition’s 25-year history. The scholarships are awarded to dancers who demonstrate a dedicated level of skill, artistry, and performance, in order to help further their professional aspirations. This competition is open to intermediate & advanced dancers ages 12-18.
Christopher Emile of No1ArtsHouse in Los Angeles will be teaching a contemporary workshop and participating in a week-long creation residency to round out the dance week of ArtsMonth!

Aoi Koenig, local dancer and PPCC instructor will be teaching the Ballet portion of the competition.
Eight scholarship awards will be given out, ranging from $100 to $500. Every participant will receive a DAPPR Esther Geoffrey Scholarship t-shirt and certificate.
